    The Big Dumb Fun Show airs from our studio in Kansas City, MO. A drive-time style format brings back the variety to your radio dial. Since our start as a ground-breaking internet radio show in 2004, local and national artists, comedians, actors, authors, and internet legends all stop by the show to reach the large diverse audience, and to have a lot of fun doing so. The show airs live on Monday Nights from 7-10p CST.

    Always controversial and outspoken, Jeff "Venkman" Hirst considers his beginning in broadcasting was when he wrote skits and parody songs for the 'Randy Miller Morning Show' while in high school.. however nothing was ever used. This 27 year old prodigy co-founded the Big Dumb Fun Show in 2004 after being introduced to airwaves at an early age in rural Butler, MO. Venkman lives in Blue Springs, MO with his wife and daughter.     Aaron joined the Big Dumb Fun Show in June 2005. Originally from South Dakota, Aaron has toured nationally performing standup comedy for over 15 years. He has made numerous appearances on ABC, NBC, HBO, Comedy Central, and Oxygen. In 2003 he produced The Elliott Threatt Show on KCTE-AM 1510. In 2004, Aaron co-founded and became General Manager of All Comedy Radio AM 1340 KCKN. Aaron created and produced Standup for Cerebral Palsy a comedy fundraiser to benefit UCP of Greater Kansas City which has raised over $72,000.00. He's was once compared to 'Uncle Jesse' but we have yet to find out if they were referring to Full House or Dukes of Hazard. More about Aaron.

    Chris is a lifelong underachiever. He spent most of his adult life in Southern California, married and raising kids (since 1990). An avid sports fan who never took the field professionally, has always dreamed of being “the voice” of the LA Lakers. Instead he settled for this. More about Chris.

    Venkman very upset that he's been ousted as the Mayor of Studio 4. Thanks Royalman! Aaron Gnirk went 'Ninja' over the weekend... Venkman heard nothing from his nor his publicist for days, and was surprised to even see him alive on Monday.

    Applesnatch Jaxon joined us back in-studio this week, she must've got lost since she's been declared MIA for the longest time.

    Venkman read a 'unique' story about a man in New York who answered his door for a women who claimed to be a Home Health Care Worker. She gave him half and enema then split. The guy didn't even know it was an impostor until he went to the doc days later.

    A Guy Named Chris stopped by today to talk about the week's big story: Hank Williams Jr's comments about Obama, comparing him to Hitler.

    We dove deeper inside the #OccupyWallSt movement by shifting our focus at a local level. Tyler and Jeff from OccupyKC.com join us in-studio to talk about the movement in KC. The 'Occupy' movement has blown up on all social media sites and has spread to over 80 major cities.

    Tonight, Thomas Caprefoli from Kcprodutionslive.com stops by to talk about his controversial 'Ride against the Westboro Baptist Church'. They don't know what's coming.. but we do. We also spoke with Patrick from the band Unwritten Rulz. Patrick will be in charge of rocking the crap out of the church to a crowd of thousands after the ride is over with.

    We're going bananas over this new sports guy! Chris Renn brings us the sports stories that fire him up week after week. This week, Canadian hockey fans totally disrespect a new black player with a banana.. Venkman and Aaron show their disgust..

    Tonight we welcomed back Black Oxygen in-studio. They have been working hard since we last ran into them over THREE years ago. We spun some tracks off their latest album "The Amerian Dream" that's about to be remixed and re-released. It was so great being able to see these guys grow up, they're more and more becoming a household name and a force to be reckoned with in the industry.



    Now.. let's get local. Kansas City Chiefs fans have long since ended the singing of the National Anthem with ".. and the home of the CHIEFS" instead of BRAVE. The social networking sites were abuzz this past Sunday with requests that everyone hold off from this long-standing tradition. Venkman posted on his Facebook account "We are still the home of the CHIEFS! Not only did Al-Queda attack the Towers and the Pentagon, they attacked our traditions... even the silly ones.". This was mainly accepted except for a couple of points of contentions... from our own buddy 'Royalman' who thinks that it was really disrespectful.

    Chaos Infintium and Raving Rendal, The hosts of Finite Exposure called to talk about an 'infinite' array of topics, one of which was your favorite old-skool arcade game. These guys are a great lead in for us on Jackalope Radio. Check them out before the Big Dumb Fun Show Mondays @ 5pCst.

    Chris Renn is pissed at Brett Favre, which is quite the contrast to sports reports in the past. He's pissed that his Iron Man record will go on due to Peyton Manning's season-ending neck injury... and is now going to have to hear about the Favre record for the rest of his remaining days.

    Applesnatch Jaxon solidified her roll on-the-phone while delivering a titillating entertainment report from her bedside. Aterwards, we didn't learn much about Hollywood and felt dirty instead.

    We celebrated our 'Little Debbie' viral video with a phone call to the loveable, sweet, original Little Debbie. We chased after a lead to find out that she's now an adult film star, (see: A Ho-Ho in my No-No) hooking up with other characters from the days of yore like the Coppertone Baby and Wendy from Wendy's.
